Naomi:

Where are you from?
Shellharbour, Australia.

What is it about Mission Adventures that you love doing?
You can’t write passion. Everything I love about Mission adventures is summed up through my love of travel, serving the body of Christ and my love of experiencing new things.

What is your favourite country that you have been to on a missions trip?
Southeast Asia as a culture is my favourite place. I mean: look at the animals, the food, and the quirkiness of the people. Some of my absolute favourite times have been the random water fights in the middle of the street to playing volleyball in rice fields.

Why do you think it is good for young people to get into missions?
When I read the Bible from the front to back I read about God using young people in gobsmacking ways. It excites me that I have seen God do incredible things through people as young as 13 in both Australia and nations like Thailand. God used missions to reveal himself to me when I was 19 and it changed everything, the way I think and do life. Since 2010 I’ve seen God use missions to change not just my life but those that say yes to going and those we serve.

Becky:

Where are you from?
London, England

What is it about Mission Adventures that you love doing?
I love showing young people that God uses them. That God doesn’t discriminate between ages and uses anyone who says ‘yes’ to move through; speaking to them and doing the miraculous.

What is your favourite country that you have been to on a missions trip?
India, this was my first Missions trip with YWAM and I had never been so fully immersed in a culture before that I feel I saw it through whole new eyes as simply wearing the traditional clothing broke down barriers between ‘us’ and ‘them’ and created a space for real relationships to be made.

Why do you think it is good for young people to get into missions?
The World can seem a dismal place when we read the news or log on to Facebook, with missions one can begin to see the World through Gods eyes. Through God’s perspective we see Him moving, the stories we begin to see and experience can be shared with others, stories of hope, change and a flavour of something different to what is normally known.

Matt:

Where are you from?
Wollongong, Australia

What is it about Mission Adventures that you love doing?
For me, it’s getting to see the young people find their passion for both life and God. Having the revelation that our God is so real and wants to walk out a relationship with them.

What is your favourite country that you have been to on a missions trip?
Cambodia. I have been there twice for mission trips and both times I have had such an amazing time experiencing such a unique and interesting culture. Also seeing God’s heart for these people, and what we can do to come along side them and God.

Why do you think it is good for young people to get into missions?
I think when we begin to see God’s heart for others, and other nations, we actually get a better understanding of His amazing love for us too. When young people can look out to others they learn more about themselves in God.
